Emil Aaltonen Foundation Grant to MediaTeam Researcher Anu Pramila
MediaTeam researcher Anu Pramila has received Emil Aaltonen Foundation’s grant of encouragement of 5000 Euros for writing her doctoral dissertation. The supervisor of Pramila’s dissertation is Professor Tapio Seppänen.
Pramila’s doctoral thesis focuses on reading a digitally hidden imperceptible watermark from a printed image or a hologram by using a digital camera or a camera phone. The specific research problem is the restoration of the watermark following 3D geometric distortions directed at the image due to free-hand imaging of the target area.
Emil Aaltonen Foundation, established in 1937, supports creative scientific research of Finnish-speaking researchers.
